Last week has been great. We had zone conference last Thursday and I really felt the spirit. Zone conference always motivates me to do better and work harder. I love missionary work and I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to serve the people here in Oregon.
Transfers are coming up next week and I have mixed feelings about the possibility of being transferred. I know that wherever I may go will be where I need to be but I have really grown to love the people here in Salem. The members are great and it is a great place to be.
One of our investigators is progressing but he has a hard time keeping a commitment of coming to church. He plans trips and other things so he doesn't have to come to church. He is still reading the Book of Mormon and continues to keep our appointments. I just have to rely on the spirit he feels when he reads and meets with us. If he can feel the spirit strong enough maybe he can overcome his obstacle of coming to church. The older couple we are working with are doing great. They continue to come to church and are interested in the gospel. We also got a referral of a lady who said she wants to join the church. She is going to come to church on Sunday.
I love it when there is work to do. It is amazing to see this area and all that is going on compared to when I first got here. I know that there is much more to do. I will tell you that the key to missionary work is the members. It is amazing the difference when members are involved.
