It was great to be able to call home on Mother's Day. I was so happy to be able to talk to the family and catch up on life at home.
Missionary work is going good here in Salem. We are working with the ward mission leader to help motivate the members here. He has made a big Angel Moroni that the ward will put balls in to represent missionary work. He has had the plan for a long time but hasn't done it so it will be a great tool to get the members involved. We do have to keep prodding him along.
One big thing I have learned out in the mission field is that home teaching is so important. It is the thing that separates a united ward from one that isn't. I have realized that missionary work is just home teaching those who aren't members yet.
