August 28-September 3, 2012

I heard from my cousin who is in the Provo MTC.  He said that Elder Neil L Anderson went directly from the Eugene Mission to the Provo MTC.  He said that he talked about us here and we both thought is was awesome that he went from me to him.

I am surprised at how many people I meet that are either living in the St. George area or are moving there.  There is a couple here that are really nice.  They live in Ivins in the winter and are going to be leaving soon to go back.  I have really grown to love them and they have helped me a lot by fixing my bike.

The people here in Medford are really humble.  Actually the Medford Temple is really in Central Point.  Medford has a lot more poor people than Central Point.  I was helping a lady move the other day and I was surprised at how some people actually live even in America.  There are many poor people here.

The work is going good The ward mission leader is starting to learn how to be a ward mission leader.  We have been working with him.  Also, we had two part member families come to church for the first time on Sunday.  We also had dinner with a part member family.  He left the church when he was 18 and his wife has never been to an LDS church service.  We taught them the restoration and they are going to come to church in two weeks.  However, they are moving to Sacramento in three weeks.  But it is still awesome to help people feel the spirit, and less active members to feel the spirit again.

The ward here is great just as all the places I have been.  It's all in lifting where you are and seeing the good in the area even though it is a city.

I will leave you with a scripture.  Alma 37:33  Preach unto them repentance and faith on the Lord Jesus Christ: teach them to humble themselves and to be meek and lowly in heart: teach them to withstand every temptation of the devil, with their faith on the Lord Jesus Christ.
